Ilana believes the best way to slow down + nurture the body + mind is through yoga and meditation, and believes in fostering this approach for recovery, empowerment + personal development.
Ilana’s passion for mental health + wellness is what inspired her to try Yoga in 2008 while studying Psychology in College. Quickly a devoted personal practice developed. After integrating principles + techniques into her work, Ilana was inspired to share further with others + took her 200-hr Yoga Teacher Training at Grateful Yoga in Montpelier in 2016. Following the birth of her daughter, she completed her 85-hr Prenatal Yoga Teacher training at the Women’s Room in Burlington.
Ilana likes to guide classes with options for different skill levels while encouraging students to listen to the wisest teacher of all, their own bodies, slowing down, resting +//or modifying when needed. In her spare time, Ilana enjoys spending time with her 1-year-old daughter, her husband + her dog exploring the bountiful beauty of nature.
